John, I think AMD is worth a look, especially since I heard how well the K-6 is selling in Germany. But remember, it could still be a cpl. of qtrs. before things look up financially. And we do not know yet how they will handle their financial status. Just keep an eye on it until you see something moving. I will post it when I take the plunge. I think with me it's more when and not if. That way I don't get caught should VG's prediction come true to which scenario I don't subscribe.

About Orcl. I would not consider it a mistake. How can we know that a company will hype their stock and sell at the same time? Insiders sell all the time for all kinds of reasons and when the company says we are doing great, why would you think differently unless you have proof? i bought at 22 1/2 and will stick with it for a while unless it does not move at all.

Yes, I still like CPQ too. It is my second biggest holding. All I hear and see sounds and looks good. Even the CEO is upbeat. Could we have another Orcl here? I hope not. I am just wondering why so many analysts are down on it and calling for 44. CPQ is flying off the shelves and lots of those cpts. have Intel inside.

BTW, today is my 1 month anniversary with Bell Atlantic. I am not sure what is going on. It has been really great but today I keep getting disconnected a lot. I hope they remember that they are supposed to bill my telephone bill. Next step would be IBM.
