You really should apologize! Ellen obviously thought "partners in crime" was being used in it's non-literal sense, i.e. an expression. One I use all the time with my co-workers, friends, etc. The cute phrase you put up has only one meaning, it is not an expression, it is a "nicer" name for a certain profession. Your comment was rude and meant only to inflame. If you don't believe Pugs was using it as an expression, then you should have simply stated that to Ellen and taken it up with pugs. You have no class. So instead of having Ellen clarify her post, how about apologizing. I am unclear as to what needs clarifying, other than you having no idea what is meant by the term "expression". By the way, I apologize for speaking on Ellen's behalf, it can also be construed as "special treatment" due to her gender, too bad, it was how I was brought up. I know full well she can defend herself, but I can't let it sit. Back to lurking(and vacation).
