I think Stockman means that AMD won't bother to package them because they won't sell for much more than the packaging cost. Is this true? I tend to think the problem is more complex. AMD has to spend the money to package them because they can't tell the difference for sure between a 166, 200 & 233 mhz K6 on the wafer. If it's true that AMD can't sell the slow ones, then they are blowing a lot of money packaging them just to screen out the few fast ones they can sell. I would think they could do a fire sale and dump the slower ones at a low price. It's that or throw them in the garbage.
