Homeowner Shoots Back at Three Armed Home Intruders
Posted by Jenn Jacques on April 26, 2016 at 2:06 pm

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office confirm three suspects are in custody after breaking into a Youngsville, LA home and shooting at the homeowner, who armed himself and returned fire.

All three men have been charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated burglary.

KLFY reports:

The incident happened around 4:25 in the morning in the 300 block of Austin Road, just outside the city limits of Youngsville.

Babin said the suspects, Jace Breaux, 22, Chaz Louviere, 23, and Jacob Collett, 33, allegedly broke into the house while the owner was asleep.

One suspect fired several shots inside the home, according to Babin. The homeowner returned fire and hit one of the suspects.

The suspects then left the scene and went to a local hospital, where they were later found by deputies.

Captain John Babin said the suspects have been charged with attempted second-degree murder in addition to aggravated burglary.

Babin did not know the extent of the suspect’s injuries but did say the hospital cleared the suspect for incarceration.

Breaux, Louviere, and Collett were all arrested and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on Tuesday.

Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office have not commented on if any charges will be filed against the homeowner at this time.
