| | | So true, what I've found interesting is the level conservatives were willing to go to defend Trump and his tactics. They took the low road and basically justified everything he did and said "for the greater cause".
It's exactly the way Clinton and Obama supporters operate. Basically, the candidate is free to say or do anything, say one thing one day, another on a different day, as long as it appears to support the candidate winning.
We have lost all integrity and turned the public into willing accomplices of low integrity and outright lies being the basis for a candidates campaign strategy. That and media attention are the new winning strategy. It's the Kardashian campaign strategy, get attention, say anything as long as it's controversial, then if you need to change your tune a few days later do so.
Trump is in tune with the new dumb voter class and will probably do better than we expect. Whether he wins or not is a big guess at this point. In my opinion, I don't think over 50% of Cruz supporters who value integrity, decency and honesty will hold their nose and vote for the man. So, he's going to have to do it without the Tea Party he openly despises. That means turning into a Hillary clone on most issues.
Our biggest hope is he loses Wisconsin and does poorly in California. In that event, it's an open convention and anything can happen. |
