I think rather than 6/49 tickets take $20 bucks and buy Benjamin Grahams "The Intelligent Investor" and dedicate a half hour a night, Not just reading but studying it. If you don't understand some thing go to the site below and type it into the search box. Like Value investing, Candle stick Charting, Swing trading, Support and resistance, options or what ever else you need to understand.

By starting with the book it is a central focal point which puts you on the right track. When you open it in the evening there are no other distractions like on the net. As you proceed through the book use Investopedia as a reference to help clarify points not understood clearly. Almost commit what's in the book to memory.

If you are going to invest in the markets you need knowledge of what is investing and what is gambling. Then the Vette's and Coffintraders become obvious reasonably soon.

When you get to understand how the market works you avoid many pit falls. Would you hire out to be a Aircraft Pilot if you never sat in a plane ? Or a blaster if you new nothing about high explosives ?
Then what makes a person think they should be a successful investor if they have little knowledge of how the market works ? When you handle your own investments, your in fact hiring out to protect the future financial well being of not only your self but your family. Knowledge is an essential pre requisite.

I use this sight so much I have a short cut on my desk top. Cheers.
