Well the two trades outlined here worked swimmingly. I did not do as well personally as I tried to get cute and it cost me $ and commissions. The trade ideas outlined here were "safer" and because they needed not tacking worked well. VRX worked best if the short puts were removed on the open as they got cheap. I knew I needed to do it because as the 10-K data matured in the public eye, it would likely not be good. But I held off from buying for a nickel and started at a dime all the way up to 20 cents. I sold additional calls to fund, some of which I paid too much to buy in near the close. I still made near max profit but with more commissions and risk.

But both were good trades for me personally too. VRX may be a good longer term short. Everyone thinks it gets back higher. I doubt it. Debt. Debt. Debt. No growth. Here from briefing:

Wells Fargo analyst David Maris believes Valeant's 10-K included several "concerning" items, including the fact that, if the impact of acquisitions is removed, then Q4 sales actually declined. The 10-K says the company may sell assets and "may issue debt or equity securities" to "meet payment obligations" or to reduce leverage, noted Maris, who believes that Valeant's EPS guidance is at risk and noted that the company did not affirm the recent EPS guidance that had been issued. The filing also reveals a "big uptick" in investigations of the company, according to Maris, who keeps an Underperform rating on the shares.
