to paraphrase ed mcmann(sp?), you are correct sir!

the problem is, CEO of BEL is saying that deployment is going to be much broader than anticipated, that they are going to be able to deploy more lines than they originally anticipated.

a lot of people internally at the RBOCs are saying that the problems they anticipated are not nearly as bad as they thought they would be.

but....you are absolutely right about targeting. xDSL is going to be targeted at urban and suburban populations, where the distances arent great and the problems on the line can be found and fixed fairly easily.

BA says 1 million lines....that could come out of NYC alone!
