Well it isn't any different. Except the historians say that the fight between Hillary and Obama at this point was worse than the fight between Hillary and Bernie. No one will say that. As well, the Clinton administration keeps trying to spin that this is like 08, when it is the exact opposite. If anybody believes that had Obama and Clinton gone to that convention neither having enough pledged delegates and then Clinton's super delegates had taken the of election away from Obama, that the African-American community and the deep liberals would have willy-nilly gone out and supported Hillary with the same enthusiasm they supported Obama, that his tooth fairy stuff.
Or her claims that 40% were not going to vote for Obama, but then she led them to the other side. That is balderdash.
What really happened, was that the Clinton supporters, mostly being liberals loved the fact that this wonderful dignified African-American , brilliant, debonair wordsmith, running on a hard-core liberal platform was wonderful and had no trouble moving over there. Why wouldn't they? They are liberals for Christ's sake-lol.
I knew tons of Clinton supporters, especially among the women that switched to Obama and they were thrilled about him. We were all thrilled about him. I still am, he ran that office with grace and dignity and ability, maybe better than any president I can remember since JFK.. He was a great president in the sense that he was a good honest decent administrator. So once Obama won, the Clinton supporters just slid right on over there and got just as happy that an African-American liberal was winning as they were with Hillary. Maybe more so once they got there.
But these deep liberals and millennial's that are supporting Bernie are never going to be happy with Hillary. The best they will do is tolerate her and Hillary can sure make it easy by naming Warren, but I think it is more likely she intends to make them pay for the trouble they cost her. I see no graciousness in her. I think she's a hard woman.
Humphrey could've probably won in 1968 if he had nominated Eugene McCarthy as his VP. Or changed his stance on the war. So Hillary probably should take note of that, but I doubt that she will.
I'm just trying to keep it real. I really appreciate your trying to do the same. I am being so careful not to spin anything or make any logical or factual mistakes other than things I cannot avoid, like my humble opinion-lol..
But every single thing I post is how I see things and I've been as careful as I can to be as objective as I can with regard to the facts and logic. . |
