I watched the Frank video you posted and I mostly agree with it. Krugman is part of the Meritocracy so no surprise there. Until the Republicans reform their Party and offer real opposition in Presidential elections I think the Democrats will continue to congratulate themselves on their well educated liberalism while they continue to export the jobs of the less fortunate. That may change when it gets to the point where an advanced degree from Harvard or MIT won't prevent your job from being exported, or an equivalently educated immigrant from India or China comes here and takes your job. I suspect Goldman Sachs and the big cap universe of multinationals are feeling pretty good about the future right now.
