Regarding the last day in 1997 to sell stock for tax purposes wouldn't last friday have been the last day ? If I sold stock on friday of last week the trasnaction would settle on wednesday of this week the last day of the year. Therefore, tax related selling must have ended last friday ? Help anyone. Thanks
