Guess who the principal beneficiary of sub-$1000 computers is (besides the consumer). Microsoft. Microsoft will do everything it can to create competition for Intel because it means lower priced computers, and as a result more consumers buying more operating systems and more software. Microsoft interests and Intel's interests are currently diverging as they haven't in the past. This trend will accelerate as the introduction of Merced nears. Kevin
