For me, one of the main reasons I prefer the iPhone and likely always will is for security. With 97% (!) of all mobile malware being made for the Android platform as of June 2015, there is no way I want to use a smartphone OS that is such a huge target because of Google's poor security choices for vetting apps.

I realized iOS has had its own problems with security, as that article mentions, but at least I can be relatively sure my contact lists, logins or banking info won't end up in China or Russia for sale to the highest bidder. I have no such belief about those who use Android mobile products.
