Conservatives Tire Of Endless Obstruction, Rally Behind Obama’s SCOTUS Nominee (VIDEO) May 5, 2016Quiana Fulton Politics
It’s The Constitution, Stupid
Now that Trump is the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party, conservatives of the #NeverTrump movement are frantic. In this franticness, some conservatives have determined the best course of action is to unite with the Democratic Party on some issues before Obama’s presidency ends.
Case in point, Redstate, a conservative news site, is rallying around the prospect of nominating Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland. According to NBC News, managing editor Leon Wolf of Redstate writes:
“Republicans must know that there is absolutely no chance that we will win the White House in 2016 now. They must also know that we are likely to lose the Senate as well. So the choices, essentially, are to confirm Garland and have another bite at the apple in a decade, or watch as President Clinton nominates someone who is radically more leftist and 10-15 years younger, and we are in no position to stop it.”

Other conservatives have expressed the same affinity to proceed with the nomination process, such as, “Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, Dianne Feinstein of California and Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island.”
Wolf believes Trump has no chance in **** of winning the presidency. He’s far from thrilled with the prospect of Tump representing the GOP brand, considering the fascism Trump throws into the media circuit — which is causing irrevocable damage to the GOP image. However, don’t be fooled that Wolf considers Clinton more qualified. He’s no Clinton fan.
His desire to nominate Garland to the court is out of selfishness, and to protect the bench from having majority progressives representation. For some strange reason, he believes conservative-Democrat Clinton will nominee far-left Democrats to the Supreme Court over the next decade. He contemplates that allowing moderate Democrat Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court is what’s best for our democratic country right now, and subsequentially for Republicans too.
“Confirm Merrick Garland before it is too late,” writes Leon Wolf. However, there will never be an acknowledgment of Wolf call to action from Republicans in the Senate. Most refuse to budge on the Merrick Garland subject. Unfortunately, the party of Constitutional rights asserts the right to cause chaos and obstruction. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is the first to let you into his world of obstruction:
“Republicans continue to believe that the American people should have a voice in this decision and the next president should make the nomination,” McConnell spokesman Don Stewart told NBC News. Per usual, Republicans prefer loyalty to party over country. But nice try Wolf.
