It's not that complicated. In the absence of boogeymen on the doorsteps to scare the people into submission, they are willing to try new things. The "conventional" politicians have not delivered and for the majority of people life is worse now it was for their parents. I don't know why so many people think that "socialism" is supposed to remain a taboo forever. Nothing lasts forever, not even fear of socialism. Both Sanders and Trump positioned themselves as change agents. Hillary is in for a fight unlike any she has had. It will not be a "Trump vs Clinton" fight that many conventional thinkers believe. It will be a fight between change vs status quo. ST
