Media mogul Barry Diller didn’t mince words Thursday when he summed up likely GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump in one word: “evil.”

What sets Trump apart, Diller said, is the real estate mogul’s use of personal attacks and name-calling as a political weapon.

“He has that as a natural state,” the former Fox television boss Diller told CNBC. “I call that evil. That’s evil.”

The Expedia chairman and long-time Hillary Clinton supporter Diller said Trump is setting a new standard of low in his maverick presidential campaign.

“There’s nobody that I’ve ever known in politics, ever, that’s risen to the presidency that was actually of evil character,” he said. “I mean there’s been incompetence. There’s been, with Nixon, Nixon-ness.”
