It depends on how frustrated and how brave you are. That is to say there are a lot of working class white conservatives who feel marginalized forever, so in their frustration they are willing to go for anyone but the same old. And Trump has tapped into that. Sanders has done the same, with the difference that a lot of his supporters are younger people who are by nature more brave and willing to take chances to change things for the better.

Older people on the other hand, which is pretty much everyone on these threads, tend to prefer moderate changes and stability, especially if they are relatively secure - which is again much of these threads. But SI is not a good representative of the general public, hence the disconnect.

I don't think Trump will win, primarily because older republicans may vote for Hillary or at least refuse to vote for him. But it is a narrow thread where you have to pin your hopes on support from your adversary.
