With central banks all around the world owning most of their own nation's Treasury debt, debt liquidation would take only a few keystrokes.

In any event the central banks will be holding that debt for many years, perhaps even to maturity.

So all those national debts have effectively already been monetized to prevent deflation during the current economic depression.
