Hmmm. Since Nomai uses a concave mirror to concentrate light on a specific spot, I wonder if only a part of the head receives a concentrated light beam? Pure conjecture on my part. I'll have to ask one of the optic engineers lurking about.

If this is true, the warrantee could be voided when Iomega techs get a machine with part of a head damaged (by the concentrated light of the concave mirror).
