Hi elmat, you do realize you are replying to a post from 13 years ago, right? In any case, Africa has a laundry list of structural problems that impact adoption, both economic and social, and they vary in severity by country and local region. What business model is used for connectivity and how it is subsidized can help incrementally at the margins, but fixing or at least improving the structural problems will make a more substantial dent in increasing adoption, and quality of life more generally. I realize that working to fix the many structural problems is not inside your area of focus; I'm just saying it can only go so far with those layers of other impediments still in the way.
