For sure he would agree with you . It is just the rapid rise of debt when they are already at high levels that he thinks has tripped every expansion in US in the last 30 - 40 years .

Typically individual goes from house and car payment to pool , boat , cottage ect . Then chokes on the credit . Pays down rinse and repeat .
