nice gain on big volume. Probably short covering. Bodes well for the months ahead. Hard to understand how anyone won't acknowledge and credit Denner for his masterful handling of the mess he was handed. The biotech sector is still in the toilet, not much better than its 52 week low, while Ariad is almost back to its level of 8 from before the sector crash (disregarding the outlier of 10 from the short lived buyout rumour ). Judging from the volume today I would think the shorts are beginning to bail, and why wouldn't they, at this point Denner has finally got this company back on track and by the time he's ready to sell I expect the buyout premium will be higher than the daily numbers thrown out by the message board "experts".
