Anyone know how that could happen? Someone put in a sell order at a very high price and someone screwed up and put in a buy order at a very high price?

Obviously it was a computerized trade. One would think that companies like Ameritrade would search for lower priced blocks.

Or could it have been a minute period of time when that WAS the lowest priced block?

I can't see any other reason... and it seems like it would be a good idea to try out. Does anyone know if Ameritrade charges for attempted sales that don't go through?
