We wanted to see Titanic last night but it was sold out, so we went to the dollar theatre and saw Air Force One and I came home so wound up I couldn't sleep! I thought it was a really entertaining movie! Your zealot comment made me think of this because there was a Russian zealot (played by Gary Oldham-great job) who had no problem with sacrificing lives for his vision. On the other hand, neither did some of the Americans see the loss of fifty lives as a small price to pay for not caving in to terrorists. When does a human life become less important than "the greater good"? When it's not your family, I guess.
Also just finished The Book of Ruth by Jane Hamilton, who wrote A Map of the World. If you haven't read it, do. Now reading Woman on the Edge of Time (Marge Piercy)-started out depressing and now seems to be turning into science fiction-have you heard of it?
