It says nothing about the original case.
It says a LOT about how he looks at that gun. And that's a problem.

Guns might not kill people, but it has been argued that guns can turn borderline personalities into cold-blooded killers.

We might want to recognize that effect and make sure legal gun owners exhibit extreme caution and responsibility when handling them.
