It's interesting to me how so many people enjoy smoothies so many different ways. Very creative.

Mine start with a base of maridol papaya soaked in lime juice, avocado for creamy texture, fresh ginger for zing, and full-fat goat kefir or yogurt as the liquid. For variety I add different seasonal or frozen fruits (strawberries are best) and spices like nutmeg, cloves, or cardamom but they all taste more alike than different given the preponderance of papaya. Haven't tired of this recipe yet. The folks at the grocery where I find my weekly papaya see me coming. I keep expecting my skin to turn orange...
