I hope the Cholestrak test was easier to find for you than it was for me. A few years back, when J&J was still distributing the test, I went to Walgreens and, after much searching, located two or three dusty kits on a lower shelf at the back of the store. You'd definately have to know what you were after to find this item, so it wouldn't be picked up by the impulse buyer.
Since then, CMTR has severed their distribution deal with J&J (actually, it was the other way around, but it sounds better this way) and started distributing the kits themselves. My wife does most of the shopping, so I don't go into many drug stores and don't know if the kits are more conspicuously placed now. I'll bet only 1 in every 100 people with high cholestrol have ever heard of the test.
As for CMTR being undervalued, I completely agree. Unfortunately the price of this stock is in the hands of day traders. If you believe in the future of this company and keep a cool head, the day traders and nervous-nelly investors can help you make a lot of money. I already have: bought a pile last fall when it dipped to 7/8. |
