Either they are about 10 or 20 years (in part, they can also predict or claim to explain other things) or they are not.

If they are, then your "The models don't try for 10 or 20 years" is bogus, if they are not, then the data presented in your post about their short term accuracy is irrelevant (esp. so because of other data suggest a different conclusion, but even if you ignore the other data).

Pick either one or the other, but don't use each opposing and incompatible idea in sequence as part of your argument.
