Richard - Please cover your face when coughing on this BB.<g> Yes, the JMAR XRL source is to be priced at about $2 million (as we were told at the last annual meeting), and I believe the X-ray stepper will be about $7-8 million. That's for the "basic black" model -- colors, as well as t-shirts, will be extra.<g> I believe Cymer's DUV source is about $425,000 for the ELS-4000F model. They now have a newer model out, however, and I don't know the price of that. I think I remember seeing something in a Cymer BB note about a price around $650,000. (Someone correct this if it is wrong.) I also don't know the price of a DUV stepper, but I would imagine it to be less than an X-ray stepper.
It's still hard to compare the two, however, because we don't know what maintenance costs are, and we don't know the length of service each will provide. Even if the XRL equipment is more expensive initially, if it can be used longer, or costs less to maintain (which I believe will be the case, from what I've read), then it will be more cost effective.
I hope you're feeling better soon.
