The following quote from Zacks appears to be inaccurate:

"However, Western Digital and SanDisk made a few changes to the deal price on Feb 23. Per the new agreement, Western Digital paid $78.50 in cash and 0.24 in stock for every SanDisk share, totaling $15.78 billion."

I think they meant to say $67.50, not $78.50. I wish I were wrong!

Anyway, with the stock at what appears to be a new low, but still likely to pay a dividend at a rate in excess of 5%, it looks like a decent, though moderately risky investment. Measured against other high yielding stocks like Chevron, which is paying over 4% and is running big time losses because of low oil and gas prices, WDC looks more attractive.
