A massive outbreak of apophenia Yeah, but "sea level rise" is easier than "apophenia" for the average person to understand. Lay people don't get "main street closed by apophenia", but tell them their favorite store was closed due to flooding, and they can relate. "Coping with apophenia" or "coping with sea level rise"; which is more understandable?
