I think understandably, the FED are chomping at the bit to work towards more normal rates. They will need to be patient or they will undo much of the slow paced progress already in place. We'll start to see inflation improve, even if oil backs off a bit from the current levels but it will take some time for the recent rise to work it's way through the system.

It will be relatively easy to upset the apple cart, as we saw the initial rate hike took a lot of steam out of the US in the first quarter. The data over the 6 to 8 weeks will let us know if they'll be able to move in July. I think moving in June has been taken off the table, as the data since the April meeting has been getting weaker as a general rule.

Hard to say we're coming anywhere close to "overheating" and hard to believe that's in our future anytime soon. I agree with your comments, bob.
