Ugly fact is that Macdonald et al. took a product to phase III with insufficient characterization.*

But he'll stick around to collect some more options. Good CEOs consider them to be "incentive" options, show confidence in their leadership, and keep the underlying shares once exercised. Others fly their company into the ground, 10b5-1 whoring all the way.

Listening to the guy on conference calls makes me want to barf. He should be selling perfumed soap on a shopping network.

*(Uglier fact is that I didn't recognize such, when "product" emerged from phase II.)
