Gerry: Sorry for the delay in responding but we have been out of town. Presently I'm in the Colonial Fund Family, but if you are interested in a fund, just pick one with several mutuals in it so you have plenty of switching choices and get into a no-load. No point in paying a "load" like I did through a broker if you don't have to. I really don't believe it makes that much difference which one you pick as long as you have telephone switching capabilities. About 6 weeks ago when things started going south, I switched into the money market to wait for the trends to change (the holding place). Probably this week I'll move it all back into a fund. I've moved into the money market 3 times this year. All with no fees. It's hard to lose!

I didn't buy much GOLDF and only very recently. If these prospecting stocks hit it, it's not really necessary to own much. Still playing around with and in and out of CCO (Coastal Caribbean Oil) for several years also.

ADNV has been disappointing as are most stocks where the management doesn't seem interested in news releases or keeping the investors informed as to what is happening. One of my criteria for next year is companies with balance sheets like ADNV, but also "friskie" management that takes an interest in their stockholders.

Don't like situations where they use my money and I end up paying them for the privilege.

Good luck to you in the new year with your picks. What I call my "qualified" speculative picks this year that I am holding are MISM, LAAQ, MSN. I love paying the larger NYSE volume stocks like KM, EMC that move slowly, but easy to predict.

Happy New Year........

Carol
