Took an initial position in IQE plc today. Used reduced KOPN position as source of funds. Some positives: cheap stock (IQE, not Kopin); competent management (IQE, not Kopin); compound semiconductor niche has seen consolidation; customer base is becoming more diverse. Negatives: industry don't get no respect; penny stock.
