Excellent 'Memorial Day Sales Deal' For a Microsoft Office Alternative ...

wps.com

For several years I have considered this to be the best value priced alternative to Microsoft Office (and I've tries most) although I am currently running the very good free open source OpenOffice 4.1.2 on a relatively new Windows 10 Desktop. I still use Microsoft Office 2003 Pro on A Windows 8.1 machine but it was purchased as a Builders Disk so the license is non-transferable from the 6 year old desktop it was purchased for. I still use an older free edition on my Win7 desktop.

WPS Office, (previously known as Kingsoft Office) is an office suite for Microsoft Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android OS, developed by Zhuhai-based Chinese software developer Kingsoft. WPS Office is a suite of software which is made up of three primary components: WPS Writer, WPS Presentation, and WPS Spreadsheet. The personal basic edition is free to use, but since early 2015 a watermark is printed on all printed output after the 30 day trial ends. A fully featured professional-grade version is also available for a subscription fee. The current premium version of WPS Office is WPS Office 16 Business Edition ($79.99 Lifetime License / 1 PC & Unlimited Mobile Devices) which was available as a beta version until yesterday but is also available in a free Personal Edition but after 30 days the program creates a watermark on all printed documents.

This morning I went up to the WPS website to download the no charge Beta edition of WPS Office 16 Business Edition and encountered the Memorial Day Sale. After I clicked the link to buy at the sale price of $39.99 I was studying the order form when the 10% discount popped up so I wound up purchasing for $35.99. Heck of a deal for an exceptional product:

Best to all, - Eric L. -
