Sorry, but I recall you touting the "TX state climatologist" and some years ago the "Texas Permanent Drought."

Now your beloved climatologist says TX has no counties in severe drought. The permanent drought was just BS.

The TX state climatologist's facebook seems to be concerned almost entirely with drought. There's a classification system for defining how severe a drought is and counties are tracked and the results published. He seems to ignore pretty much everything else.

You don't know much about nature, Rat, including trees and weather. Here's a TX weather and geography lesson for you.

TX is a big state. The western part is very dry, parts are an extension of the Chihuahuan desert, just like southern CA and much of AZ are extensions of the Sonoran desert:

As for w TX, drought is common there. OTOH the other side of TX borders the Gulf of Mexico and gets frequent rain. Both annual rainfall and heavy rainfall days are high there.

I know you think all rainfall should be gentle and mild with no heavy rains, no floods, and no droughts. If not for FF's all the weather would be mild and pleasant all the time. That simple minded theme underlies many of your posts. But of course, that's not how the world works or ever has worked.
