The thing you gotta remember about cellular is that you are not noise limited because of frequency reuse (at least in your larger cities), so lowering the noise floor only buys you link budget gains where you don't have cochannel interferes. This limits the usefulness of cryocooled filters and LNA's to rural areas, where the cochannel's either arent being used in nearby sites or where there are few enough CDMA users so that thermal noise is significant compared to the other CDMA users.

Most of your cellular operations folks are taking a wait and see attitude about the reliability of these packages, and the engineers are too, because if you design your system assuming you get these gains and then the stuff doesn't work and you have to rip it out, you've got coverage holes.

Nice move on QCOM today, what news is there besides the European announcement, which I don't see as the cause of a 3 point move anyway??
