I am sure there is data out there. Atheist or agnostic families tend not to be as sexually repressed, nor do they insist on such subservient roles for females. In addition, they don't tend to be as insular and attempt to isolate their children from the outside world as much. As a result, the rate of molestation is likely but a fraction of what it is in Evangelical families like the Duggars. Education and honesty about sex can go a long ways in curbing deviant behavior.

But, why not ask Jim Bob Duggar? He is the one who made the claim that it is common in the families he knows.
