Is sorting trash at a recycling center a clean energy job? The trash was all made, marketed, collected, and transported using fossil fuels. And the trash will be recycled using fossil fuels. Without fossil fuels there wouldn't be any trash to recycle. If people had any trash they'd burn it at home or feed it to the chickens or use it for fertilizer.
