I'm not looking much at a large recession ahead.

Given the extreme political environment, a decent sized sentiment based nudge toward recession is likely to occur when "their candidate" doesn't get in. Another nudge could easily occur if the Fed gets overly enthusiastic with rate hikes. The US could also get pulled into one due to other countries weakness, same with a nuclear "accident" due to psychos in geopolitics-ville.
