Not true in most areas of the world now.


Quite true in most of the world. At least for subsidies broadly defined to include not just direct subsidies, but tax benefits, feed-in tariffs, purchase requirements etc. Also in addition to subsidizing alternatives, fossil source face extra taxes emissions limits (both with tradable permits and otherwise) etc.

No subsidies required.

Good then get rid of all of them.
