I'd post this info on the Amazon board if I wasn't banned there. You were banned because all you would post was bad-mouth about Amazon. Now it turns out that in spite of your POV you were still doing business with them. And they treated you royally! I suspect that by the time you add up the delivery cost and dealing with your now-used speakers it's cheaper for them to write the speakers off than have you return them. They seem to have a calculation built into their system involving your BG with them when it comes to dealing with returns.
