On a like for like basis, 2016 is still tracking a bit below 2009 on the recovery front (IBB vs. IBB). We cannot really use XBI or even FBT for this as they moved much more sharply down and are more heavily small cap weighted. If we continue to follow the 2009 roadmap (and one could argue we should do better as overall market not a bear), we could have `15% gains over the next 6 weeks in the senior index (more presumably on the junior indices). I would not be surprised by no further upside either.
