Even though the signs pointing at inflation are clear to me, the deflationary depression black swan sure isn't something I can exclude. I do foresee a touch of stagflation lite ahead though, partly drive by Fed "PR". The American consumer remains in relatively fooked mode, thanks to Fed and Beltway mismanagement, and hope springs eternal in the halls of hoors.

Amen on a flatter yield curve, but my daily tracking of the Fed's Securities Lending OMO show that the Fed is fighting like hell to avoid higher rates on the 10, 30 and various MBSs. Daily amounts submitted and accepted have been in the upper 10% of their range since 2000.
