"Wait until commercial hemp gets going!"
I think we're gonna end prohibition in Nov. That means our Dept of Ag will start keeping official stats, which means it will start showing up in our GDP. Why is that important? Great Britain, 6th largest economy in the world, already counts drugs in their GDP. We're #7; legal weed should move us up one or two positions. Weed is already the largest cash crop, and that's not counting what value-added, as well as hemp, will do.
Just add water.

California governor signs bill legalizing hemp farming in the stateSeptember 30, 2013

After making its way through the Californian legislature with bi-partisan support (!), the California Industrial Hemp Farming Act (aka SB 566) was signed by governor Jerry Brown and became state law.

"With the signing of this bill, California is poised to grow industrial hemp when the federal government gives states the green light," said Senator Leno, D-San Francisco. "In the past year, the conversation to legalize the cultivation of hemp has gained momentum at the federal level, and it is only a matter of time before a farmer's right to grow hemp is restored. Hemp, which is already found in hundreds of consumer products manufactured in our state, is a perfect crop for California. It has great potential to revitalize family farms, create new jobs and stimulate the economy
