OK,
here is how it works.

a new product is created, the PC.
Advances in technology reduce the cost of a PC and the Preformance improves.
This leads to new application for the product.
Which leads to more advances in the technology and better preformance at better price.
and so on and so on and then there is a change.
The technology and cost preformance continues its trend which is what the customer wants. But some thing goes wrong.

DRAMs, something went wrong.
Disk Drives, That one has been through about 4-5 cycles since 1985
SRAMS and chip sets, something went wrong.
AAPL, something went wrong.
INTC, Some thing maybe going wrong as we speek, Unexpected price cut ?

Box builders, Nothing going wrong yet.

This is the similarity to MU and WDC.
Is DELL not in this paradigm ?
I think it is, and the result will be the same.

Jim

PS. What up with this unexpected price cut by INTC.
How is dell going to stay out of low price PC's when INTC is headed there ?

Jim
