Australian Rates on hold @ 1.75% 7 June 2016 At its meeting today, the Board decided to leave the cash rate unchanged at 1.75 per cent. This provided a boost to the Aussie dollar and knocked down some of the Aussie gold miners who have been doing quite well until today like Newcrest (NCM) down 0.65 to 21.40. Most of the other producers are holding their ground however. rba.gov.au
