Voy forums still dead. Missing Goldbug's Gulch and The Goldville Report. Bah! Found a comment on a forum about unrelated topics that says "Apparently there is a hosting/server issue with Voy, the board provider", and another comment on a goldrefugees wordpress site saying "dead for good now?" but now I see this is where most Voy refugee refugees seem to have turned up. There's a Global DNS Propagation Checker which checks multiple name servers in different parts of the world - curiously the voy site resolves to 69 26 170 8 in 4 places but not in 17 others. The "downforeveryoneorjustme" site has been consistently saying it's down for the last few days. Possibly the best case scenario is that the server hardware failed and it's taking time to get it fixed for some reason. However it's also possible that the site admins have stopped supporting it and haven't paid the bills. I created some backup forums some time ago by the name of pmstandard, on several hosts, after eliminating ones with various problems, found that Zetaboards and prophpbb worked well, followed by bigboardlive (which seemed slower). They are available if wanted, and it's easy enough to create your own. They are threaded, but narrowing them down to a single thread for discussions is possible. Kitco also has a thread run like that in the general discussions as well as the dormant thread where BWP used to post for a while. Generally the old big single thread style of forum seems to be considered old hat nowadays.
