"... I did a search for "Hambone" and found this post. How can I search and find my group of friends?..." - seems to me that's pretty much what you did!!
Searching for "Mugwump" (by way of example) is likely to find a multiplicity of mugwumps across the web... tricks to use are grouping several handles together to narrow the search, and search in a narrow range of dates (Google lets you look over the last 24 hours, week etc.) for an outbreak of posts about Voy.com.
Things I have discovered:
On Nick's Collingwood Bulletin Board today:
EBnW is hosted by Voy.com and all Voy.com forums have been down, worldwide, for at least 6 days (and counting). The problem will hopefully be fixed without much further delay but the company treats its customers with contempt and tells us nothing. I’ve emailed them but I don’t expect to hear back, regardless of whether the problem gets fixed in 5 minutes time or takes days (or even doesn’t get fixed). I’ve even tried to phone them in California but unsuccessfully. "yeah, Voy is totally down yet again...." 11/9/2010 8:52:14 AM in this thread.
Whois info tells us what we already knew, that "Sahebi, Rudi" is the tech contact for voy and voyager.com, but the DNS registration hasn't expired.
Snapshots of the site from web.archive.org show various contact emails, but all go to voyager.com or voy.com, except for voyagersystems@gmail.com
Rudi wrote a plot summary for a movie on IMDB, has written about Sufism, "Rudi" may be an anglicised version of "Roodabeh", but attempts to find further contact details proved fruitless.
